First Seder Maggid Shiur/Rebbe Position Yeshivas Bircas HaTorah Old City Yerushalayim Yeshivas Bircas HaTorah is seeking a dynamic Maggid Shiur/Rebbe to join our vibrant Yeshiva community in the heart of the Old City of Yerushalayim. Position Overview: We are looking for a warm engaging and inspiring married Rebbe preferably between the ages of 30 and 45 who is passionate about raising talmidim in both learning and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be a rabbinic role model emotionally available and capable of delivering high-level shiurim with clarity and depth. Core Responsibilities: Shiurim: Delivering an Iyun Shiur during 1st Seder. The level of the shiur will vary by Zman – at times an Iyun Shiur for high level talmidim at times for beginners or mid levels. The Shiur is to teach talmidim how to learn not to showcase the Chiddushim of the Maggid Shiur nor to give an overview of all the Meforshim in the inyan. The shiur should be interactive meaning the students can ask questions and kushyos be pushed to read and explain and be offered to give possibilities (within limits of the particular Shiur). The Maggid Shiur should work to understand how to build each individual talmid in learning. Availability: Being present and available in the Yeshiva Sunday through Thursday from 9AM-130PM. Student Engagement: Developing personal relationships with talmidim providing emotional and spiritual guidance and serving as a supportive presence. Shabbos Involvement: Hosting bochurim for Shabbos meals when possible and occasionally hosting the in-Shabbos in yeshiva. Yeshiva Life: Participating in occasional tiyulim and other Yeshiva programming. Compensation: Competitive with similar positions in other American yeshivas. Shabbos Involvement: Hosting bochurim for Shabbos meals when possible and occasionally hosting the in-Shabbos in yeshiva.
